Trail setup
The official name of these trails is Haarlebeek: They loop between villages of Wechelderzande and Lille in the west and Beerse, Vosselaar and Gierle in the east, north and south of the highway E34.
Official starting point is the recreational park "De Lilse Bergen", Strandweg 6, 2275 LILLE-GIERLE. The first sign for the green trail can be picked up just outside De Lilse Bergen, where you have excellent parking facilities. If you fancy doing the blue or the red one, you find the first signs just down the tarmac road, in the opposite direction of the green trail.
Alternative starting point for blue trail is Industrizone, Beemdenstraat, 2340 BEERSE, and for red trail Siësta Caravanpark, Corsicabaan, 2275 WECHELDERZANDE.
Map and signage
Overiew along with gps files are available on www.mtbroutes.be. Signage was sufficient to excellent when I rode here in July 2011.
Interconnecting trails
Each trail provides connecting loops. The only one I took note of is the one in the southeastern corner of the green loop: There is a 9-kilometre-long liaison to the red trail of Herentals.
Notes
Green trail, except for the last 50 metres; not my cup of tea. Blue trail, except for the last 100 metres at the end; not my cup of tea. Red trail, fantastic bits, but unfortunately some very long boring bits in between. I will come back here only if I have time to trail explore away all the boring bits. Else .. I ride nearby Herentals instead.
